To play the cello

my celloLearning to play the cello is not easy (but really great fun!). You don't have much to go on on your fingerboard so you have to listen whether or not your fingers are in the right position.

I'm learning to play now for three years. I started by learning first position and just went to fourth position. I'm a bit of a slow learner (I couldn't read music before I started and I have problems with keeping the rhythm).

So it depends on you how fast you will go in the learning process.

Practising is really important. I practice about an hour each day. I think that is about the minimum if you want to keep on making progress. If you have more time to practise it will help you to make progress sooner.

At the moment I'm working on learning fourth position and vibrato.
