Fingering Chart

A great fingering chart which was a great help to me is to be found on Per's cello page (http://web.telia.com/~u54104547/Cello_page.htm).

It gives you an idea of where your fingers should be when playing in different positions.

Finding a teacher

Finding a teacher is very important. I think you need a teacher to explain to you what your technique should be and where you have to put your fingers and how to hold your bow. My teacher helps me with my technique, with interpreting the music and coaching me through all the hurdles there are in music making.
