We gave a christmas recital in the church of Geldrop. It was the first time I played in a string orchestra (with a brass section)

Today we had a 'open lesson'. Two celloteachers organised a get-together of 10 cellists and we played all kind of pieces. The lesson was public so a couple of people came to watch us perform.

Today the orchestra had it's first official performance with an audience (mainly relatives, but who cares). It was absolutely great. The string orchestra was accompanied by a percussion section and everything went well for an amateur orchestra. People started clapping and we had the great feeling about the music, like being in some kind of musical wave.

John and I played our first recital together! John played the piano and I the cello. It was nerve wrecking. We played a choral by Bach, a Marmotte by Beethoven and I played the Prayer of Schlemuller all by myself. I was totally nervous but it all went well and I was extremely happy after performing.

Today we had our second performance with an audience. We had a public rehearsel at the music school in Bergeijk. Then we went to Geldrop for a second rehearsal and after that we had our performance. There were two orchestra's and an ensemble performing. At the end we played all together. It was really awesome.

And another performance! Today I played in a cello/bass performance. 40 Cellists and 6 basses played together. We played an air by Purcell and Haendel, a choral by Bach and the Finale 2005 written by Frank Spronk. Especially the finally was absolutely great.
