Here you can find some pictures and stories of me while playing my cello at home and during some performances Pictures of me while playing my cello at home ![]() 19 December 2004 We gave a christmas recital in the church of Geldrop. It was the first time I played in a string orchestra (with a brass section) ![]() 23 January 2005 Today we had a 'open lesson'. Two celloteachers organised a get-together of 10 cellists and we played all kind of pieces. The lesson was public so a couple of people came to watch us perform. ![]() ![]() ![]() 31 January 2005 Today the orchestra had it's first official performance with an audience (mainly relatives, but who cares). It was absolutely great. The string orchestra was accompanied by a percussion section and everything went well for an amateur orchestra. People started clapping and we had the great feeling about the music, like being in some kind of musical wave. ![]() 26 June 2005 John and I played our first recital together! John played the piano and I the cello. It was nerve wrecking. We played a choral by Bach, a Marmotte by Beethoven and I played the Prayer of Schlemuller all by myself. I was totally nervous but it all went well and I was extremely happy after performing. 3 July 2005 Today we had our second performance with an audience. We had a public rehearsel at the music school in Bergeijk. Then we went to Geldrop for a second rehearsal and after that we had our performance. There were two orchestra's and an ensemble performing. At the end we played all together. It was really awesome. 4 July 2005 And another performance! Today I played in a cello/bass performance. 40 Cellists and 6 basses played together. We played an air by Purcell and Haendel, a choral by Bach and the Finale 2005 written by Frank Spronk. Especially the finally was absolutely great. |
